Must Haves for Quilters: Kerry's Picks
I can never have enough cutting tools- I like them to be sharp and as safe as possible to use and Olfa are my go-to brand for rotary cutters and as we are thinking about gifts, why not have a patterned rotary cutter!
There are also matching scissors if you like to co-ordinate your sewing room.
I like to have some cute and sharp smaller scissors for stray threads and hand sewing and these coloured handle stork style scissors are hard to resist and also come with a protective cover to guard their point. Available in yellow, teal or pink.
When I go to shows and meet-ups, I can’t resist a little easy sewist identification by wearing something that hints at my obsession, I’ve seen this necklace on a sewing friends and I may just have to get one myself!
There seems to be no limit to the quantity of fabric a quilter can have. If I was going to sneak a few more FQs into my stash, I would be very tempted by these Liberty pastel prints...
And if you are looking for stocking fillers, I can recommend a sewing gauge, so useful for checking seam allowance, placement, turning points and much more!
A Sewline glue pen is always useful as a quick way to baste for EPP or to hold that first piece of fabric in place when foundation paper piecing.
Plus a quilter can never have enough mini fabric clips, perfect for holding binding in place!
