Nice tin but not a secure lid

Bought several of these beautiful tins, but unfortunately once the lid has been taken off (with difficulty) it doesn’t fit back on securely so has to stay upright. This is fine if you’re leaving them on a table, but not practical if putting in a bag. I’ve had to find different pots to put the pins in which defeated the object of buying lovely storage tins.
