You may wish to use your first session to get to know the sewing machine and discuss what you would like to make. I will have a small make and take project available for you to complete during your first session.

You can bring your own sewing machine if PAT tested, or you can use one of ours - whichever you prefer.

Please note: we do have disabled access to the shop, however we do not have a disabled toilet available on the premises.

We require to pay the full amount for the class upfront to book your space, by adding this to your basket and checking out. Please provide your full name, email address and telephone number so we can contact you if necessary - your order confirmation email can be used as proof of your booking.

We have the right to cancel a class if it doesn't meet our minimum class size - this is to ensure you have a great experience, as well as to make classes viable for us. We will make every effort to run a class if we think we can!

If we do have to cancel, we will contact you by telephone or email one week before the class is due to go ahead. If we have to cancel, you will be offered a full refund or to book onto a different class.

If you want to cancel, you must give us 3 weeks notice, at which point you will be given a refund in full. If you cancel with less than 3 weeks notice we may not be able to offer you a refund, unless we are able to fill your space.

      About the teacher

I love sewing, I have been sewing for a very long time. I started by making clothes for my dolls when I was a little girl and have been sewing ever since. I love to learn new skills (yes I am still learning), I love mixing different fabrics and pattern together and I love to create just about anything made out of fabric.

I have made wedding dresses, ball gowns, curtains, blinds, clothes, fancy dress costumes and stuff for the home. I was a pattern cutter in my younger years and for the last 15 I have been a textiles teacher in a secondary school. Sewing calms me, it’s my yoga if you like, time to unwind and relax is good for the soul.
