Don't overlook good quality basics when it comes to sewing - having strong, sharp needles and pins is very important, and makes a real difference to the quality of both your sewing and your fabric finish. We definitely recommend heatproof pins as a staple for your sewing box, as they won't melt if you need to press something with the pins in!
