Stash Club Subscription FAQ's
If you've seen our monthly Stash Club subscriptions and have questions, you've come to the right place to find your answers!
NEW update: due to current circumstances and supply chain difficulties, we are now limiting the number of new subscriptions of this box available each month. Subscriptions will close once we have reached the maximum capacity for that month and re-open again the following month so if you don't want to miss out, make sure you sign up soon!
What types of Stash Club subscriptions are there?
We offer 3 types of subscription for the Stash Club, depending on what types of fabric you prefer to sew with.
Stretch - this box will only contain stretch fabrics like jersey, sweatshirting, stretch cottons/needlecords, viscose jersey etc. If it doesn't have stretch, it won't be in your box!
Woven - this box will only contain woven fabrics like cottons, viscose/rayon, crepe, needlecord, peach skin, satin etc. No stretchy fabrics here! Most of these fabrics are quite beginner-friendly due to having a bit more stability than stretch fabrics.
Mixed - these boxes will contain a mix of stretch and woven fabrics, so one month you may get stretch fabrics like jersey, another month you may get wovens like crepe, and another month you could get a mix of both. It's great for those that love to sew in all types of fabric and have some experience under their belt!
How often will I get a box?
You can choose how often you would like to get a box - every 1, 2 or 3 months depending on what suits you and how quickly you sew. Just select the monthly interval on the product page of the subscription you want.
How do I subscribe?
To subscribe just pick the type of Stash Club subscription you want (stretch/woven/mixed) and visit the product page for that type. Select how often you want to receive a box (every 1, 2 or 3 months) and then add to your basket and check out. Unfortunately at the moment you can't order a subscription and other items at the same time.
Do I have to re-subscribe every month?
No you don't. Once you place your first order, you authorise us to take this amount each month using the payment method given on your first order - this will be taken automatically on the same day as your initial order each month.
How does it work every month after my initial order?
Once you have subscribed, we will send out your box to you in 3-5 days unless you select first class delivery. The next month, your payment will go through automatically again on the same day as the day you subscribed for your first box. Eg, if you subscribe to your first box on the 5th of the month, each subsequent box will be processed on the 5th of the month.
What will I get in my box?
We like to give you the element of surprise with your box to keep things fun, so we can't give too much away... and we also vary the contents of the boxes from month to month. On average, they will contain roughly 2-2.5 metres of fabric, a Gutermann thread, some haberdashery and a pattern ideas card. Some months you may get more fabric, some months a bit less, depending on the cost of the fabric. We always make sure you're getting the most for your money so we cost the box out based on the cost of the fabrics and habby included. Rest assured, you will always get good quality fabrics and habby in your box.
Does the box come with a pattern?
Because everyone's tastes are different when it comes to shapes and styles, we have chosen not to include a pattern - this helps keep the costs to go towards sourcing just gorgeous fabrics! However, we will include a pattern ideas card in each box with suggestions for a number of patterns we think would work well with the fabric inside the box.
Can I change my subscription/personal information?
Yes you can. If you would like to change the type of box you have, how often you receive it, update your payment info/address or skip a box (for example if you're on holiday) then just sign into your online account on our site and click 'manage my subscription' to do all of the above. Alternatively, let us know what you would like to change and we can do this for you!
Can I cancel my subscription and how do I cancel?
Yes you can cancel at any time - if you have an account on the website then just go to your account area and click 'manage my subscription' to cancel. If you don't, then you can sign up for one with the same email address as your box notifications, or get in touch with us and we can cancel for you. Please note that we don't have a cancellation period, but if your payment for the month has already gone through then we can't cancel your order as it is being processed already.
Can I buy a subscription as a gift?
Of course you can! Simply add the recipient's address in the shipping address and make sure you pop yours in the billing address. We don't include receipts in the boxes so they won't know how much it cost! Let us know if you'd like to include a message and we'll do our best to accommodate your request. Don't forget to tell your recipient that it was you that sent it - due to GDPR regulations, we can't give out your personal information if they ask us who sent it!
What if I don't like what's in my box?
We're sorry if what you get in your box isn't quite to your taste, but unfortunately we can't accept returns on boxes - why not make something for a friend or loved one, or use it to make a practice garment?
