We're celebrating all things kitty cats this week for National Pet Month! So of course we had to do something with one of our favourite cat collections ever, Kitty by Makower - and we love how versatile the panel is, so we came up with a couple of project ideas for even more value for money!

How to Make a Kitty Panel Oven Glove

You Will Need

How to Make

1. Cut out one of the small pictures leaving a seam allowance for sewing onto the front of the oven glove.

2. Cut out the outline of the back in the backing fabric twice and also cut out in the thermal fleece.

3. Layer the fleece between the back fabric and pin in place. Quilt diagonal lines using a straight machine stitch.

4. Cut out the 2 front pieces in the other fabric and the thermal fleece and join and quilt as above in 3.

5. Press under the seam allowance around the picture and pin in place on the front piece of the oven glove and then sew around the border.

6. Attach the bias binding to the top of the front piece.

7. Attach the front piece to the back piece and sew all around the sides and bottom.

8. Attach the bias binding all around the sides and top.

9. If required you can make a loop with the bias binding and attach to the top to hang it up – we didn’t.

10. Enjoy using your new oven glove!
