Beginner's Christmas Quilt - PDF pattern

Try your hand at quilt making for the first time - it doesn't have to be scary, we promise! This basic lap quilt is actually fairly simple to make, so ideal for beginners to quilting and patchwork.

The step-by-step instructions will take you through many of the staple skills of quilting, including top tips on cutting, piecing, squaring up and binding your quilt, as well as some simple quilting.

It's perfect for snuggling up on the sofa with a hot drink while you watch a Christmas movie to get you in the spirit of the season!

You will need:

• 60cm main printed fabric 
• 45cm each of 2 other printed fabrics 
• 25cm binding fabric
• 1.1m backing fabric
• 1.1m wadding at least 127cm/50” wide
• Matching thread
• Optional: : ¼” machine foot (recommended)
