Megan Nielsen Sewing Pattern - Hovea Jacket/Coat
Make a cool and casual coat or jacket with this stylish pattern from Megan Nielsen. Opt to make it hip length or three quarter length, with optional pockets and ties.
This versatile pattern can be made in lighter weight fabrics and quilted fabrics as a jacket, or heavier weight fabrics as a coat. It can be made lined or unlined, and with or without binding. The shape and design are clean and classic, perfect for building your staple wardrobe.
Fabric suggestions: Light to medium weight fabrics such as cotton, linen, chambray, blends etc are recommended for the quilted versions B, D & F. Avoid thick fabrics or these versions can become bulky. Medium weight fabrics such as linen, cottons etc or medium to heavy weight coating fabrics such as boiled, felted or suiting wool are recommended for Views A, C & E. Prequilted fabrics are suitable for all views.
Additional supplies: Lining (woven) (View B, D & F & optional for Views A, C & E), 1⁄3 yd (30cm) lightweight fusible interfacing for collar (ViewA,C&E), Quilt batting (View B, D & F).
